Vale Paul Taylor

I’m very sad to inform you that long serving club member and Secretary, Nick Taylor and his wife Debbie, lost their son Paul to a rare, debilitating illness last week.

Paul was only 38 years old, and he leaves a loving wife, Victoria, sons Michael & Daniel and daughter Sophie.

His family invite you to join them at his farewell, which will be held at Pinnaroo on Thursday 21st July at 10am.

They would like you to wear something bright. Like your favourite team colours, rugby jumper or shirt, footy jersey etc.

There will be drinks and a get together at Paul & Victoria’s house afterwards if anyone wants to bring a bottle and toast Paul's life.

Paul fought his illness with determination, and without complaint, for several years.

His family gave their all to support him throughout and were with him right to the end.

Paul succumbed to the same illness that claimed his brother Sean’s life in 1992.

Nick, Debbie and his sisters Ashleigh and Emily are comforted by the fact that the boys are now together, and will be forever.

Their illness and the struggle to find a cure for it, was highlighted in the 1992 Hollywood movie Lorenzo’s Oil.

Paul had a small part in the movie at the end.

On behalf of Wanneroo Rugby Club, I send our deepest sympathies to all of Paul’s family.

We are truly sorry at your loss and our thoughts are with you.
